When the offline world feels too flat — add a digital layer of depth
When the offline world feels too flat — add a digital layer of depth
At a physical pop-up in Lima, Peruvian fashion designer SOPHIA LERNER faced a familiar constraint: limited space, unlimited story.
Each piece on the rack carried more than style. It held a journey — from the hands that made it to the impact it would leave behind. But how do you surface all of that in a quiet room, on a single hanger, with no one there to explain?
We turned the tag into a portal.
Working with SmartDPP, SOPHIA LERNER embedded digital product passports into five signature garments. Each one was connected to a scannable QR code on the tag. The moment a shopper scanned, they were taken into the full world behind the garment.
On average, shop visitors spend around one minute engaging with the stories behind the clothes — a powerful moment of connection. For SOPHIA LERNER, this offers a way to extend its presence beyond the shop walls. The digital passport speaks to the individual and travels home with them.
60
seconds—average time spent by guests diving into the stories behind the pieces
Since 2016, SOPHIA LERNER has been reshaping the visual language of Latin American fashion — merging sculptural denim, recycled fibres, and handwoven textures into pieces that feel both grounded and futuristic. Each garment is the result of dozens of artisanal processes and collaborations with local makers. This is slow fashion, reimagined for modern streets.
