How Anciela Is Bringing Its Stories to Life—One QR Code at a Time

Fashion is always telling a story. Sometimes that story is stitched into the seams, sometimes it’s hidden behind brand campaigns and glossy lookbooks. And sometimes, it's waiting in a quiet corner of East London, embedded in a QR code.

From Wednesday 4 June to Sunday 8 June, SmartDPP is stepping into the real world—alongside Anciela—at the Festival Pop-Up Shop, hosted at 30a Spital Square, London E1 6DX. No ticket. No velvet rope. Just good fashion with even better storytelling.

This event brings together the best of sustainable fashion, emerging designers, and wardrobe refreshers that don’t come with buyer’s remorse. And among them, Anciela—a brand that’s making waves with its bold Latin folklore, artful tailoring, and unapologetic stance on sustainability.

But here’s where it gets more interesting: Anciela’s fashion now comes with a digital soul.

We’ve partnered to create three Digital Product Passports—each one embedded into a physical piece from the collection. These aren’t just digital receipts. They’re full-on experiences: tap your phone or scan the QR code, and you’ll unlock sustainability details, production insights, and a virtual try-on you can play with right there in the store. Or on the street. Or on the tube. Wherever inspiration strikes.

Why does this matter?

Because we’re done buying blind. We want to know what we’re wearing. Who made it. How long it’s meant to last. And ideally—how it fits before we commit. These DPPs offer transparency, yes. But more importantly, they offer relationship—with the product, with the maker, with the values stitched into every seam.

So if you’re in London this week, come by.
Wed – Sat: 11:00–18:30
Sun: 11:00–16:00

No RSVP needed. Just curiosity, and maybe a little time to try something on—physically or digitally.
